Top H-1B Sponsor Companies: The 100 Biggest Filers
By Sumit Patel · Last updated October 16, 2026
The companies that sponsor the most H-1B visas are large technology, consulting and finance employers, led by Amazon.com Services LLC with 14,316 certified H-1B LCAs in FY2025. The top 100 filed 33.6% of all 515,991 certified H-1B LCAs that year.
This ranking comes from our analysis of Department of Labor LCA disclosure data. It shows how many H-1B wage filings each employer made, what it offers, how much of it is new hiring, and which big sponsors have pulled back in 2026.
In this guide:
Which companies sponsor the most H-1B visas?
Amazon.com Services LLC, Cognizant Technology Solutions US Corp, Ernst & Young U.S. LLP filed the most certified H-1B LCAs in FY2025. Across all employers, 60,079 companies filed at least one, up from 58,841 in FY2024.
| # | Employer (as filed) | LCAs | Median offered wage | New employment | Most common job |

| 2 | Cognizant Technology Solutions US Corp | 10,414 | $109,900 | 10.9% | Computer Systems Engineers/Architects |
| 3 | Ernst & Young U.S. LLP | 9,436 | $144,500 | 34.3% | Accountants and Auditors |

| 10 | Deloitte Consulting LLP | 4,445 | $140,200 | 6.1% | Software Developers |
Which big H-1B sponsors pulled back in 2026?
Eight large employers were suspended from the green card labor certification program in October 2026, and some others are filing far fewer H-1B LCAs than a year ago. Check where an employer stands before you plan a long-term move there.
Which employers were suspended from PERM?
On October 8, 2026, the Department of Labor said it would stop accepting new or pending permanent labor certification (PERM) applications from Microsoft, Adobe, Capgemini, Cognizant, HCL, Infosys, Tata and Wipro, according to TechCrunch. PERM is the first step of most employer-sponsored green cards. No end date had been announced.
The action, as reported, covers green card labor certification, not the H-1B program. But all eight are major H-1B filers in our data:
- Cognizant Technology Solutions US Corp: rank 2, 10,414 certified H-1B LCAs in FY2025
- Microsoft Corporation: rank 5, 7,970 certified H-1B LCAs in FY2025
- Tata Consultancy Services Limited: rank 6, 7,360 certified H-1B LCAs in FY2025
- Infosys Limited: rank 8, 5,743 certified H-1B LCAs in FY2025
- HCL America, Inc.: rank 14, 2,644 certified H-1B LCAs in FY2025
- Capgemini America Inc: rank 17, 2,512 certified H-1B LCAs in FY2025
- Wipro Limited: rank 24, 2,140 certified H-1B LCAs in FY2025
- Adobe Inc.: rank 35, 1,098 certified H-1B LCAs in FY2025
Our FY2026 data runs from December 23, 2025 to March 25, 2026, before the suspension, so it cannot show its effect yet. If you hold or are offered an H-1B at one of these employers, ask how they plan to handle green card sponsorship.
Which employers paused H-1B hiring?
Walmart paused job offers to candidates who need H-1B visas in October 2025, mainly for corporate roles and with possible exceptions, as reported by Bloomberg and CNBC. Its main filer, Wal-Mart Associates, Inc., made 469 certified H-1B LCAs from December 23, 2025 to March 25, 2026, 52% of the 894 it filed in the same weeks a year earlier.
Who is filing far fewer H-1B LCAs this year?
Across all employers, certified H-1B LCAs from December 23, 2025 to March 25, 2026 ran at 92% of the same weeks a year earlier, and new-employment filings at 67%. These top-100 sponsors dropped much further:
| Employer (as filed) | A year earlier | This year to date | % of last year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Federal Express Corporation | 685 | 110 | 16% |
| Mastercard Technologies, LLC | 121 | 38 | 31% |
| Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. | 1,061 | 357 | 34% |
| TikTok Inc. | 86 | 30 | 35% |
| Charter Communications, Inc. | 201 | 74 | 37% |
| Skilltune Technologies INC | 162 | 60 | 37% |
| People Tech Group, Inc | 86 | 35 | 41% |
| ByteDance Inc. | 175 | 73 | 42% |
A drop in filings is not a policy statement: it can reflect fewer open roles, timing, or a change in which entity files. Employers with fewer than 80 LCAs in last year's window are left out because small numbers swing widely.

Source: DOL OFLC LCA disclosure data, analysed by H1BVisaJobs.com (2026-10-16). Median offered wage uses the low end of any wage range, annualised, for LCAs with wages of $30,000 to $1,000,000. New employment is the share of LCAs marked as new employment. State is the most common worksite state.
How many H-1B LCAs does each company file across all its entities?
Adding a brand's legal entities together changes the order slightly. These company totals combine every entity whose filed name starts with the brand, for FY2025, counting LCAs with wages of $30,000 to $1,000,000 (the same rule as our sponsor hub), so they are not directly comparable with the table above.

Who led H-1B sponsorship in each year since FY2022?
The same few employers trade the top spots every year. Amazon's main entity and Cognizant held the first two places in each year shown, with Microsoft, Google, Ernst & Young and Tata close behind.

How should you read an H-1B sponsor ranking?
As a map of who uses the program, not as a list of who will sponsor you. Four points matter:
- LCAs are not approvals. An LCA is the wage filing that comes before a petition; employers file more LCAs than petitions.
- Renewals count too. Many filings extend or transfer existing workers. The new-employment share shows how much is fresh hiring.
- Legal entities, not brands. The top 100 lists each filing entity; the company table adds them up.
- Consulting firms place workers at clients. Their worksite states show where the work happens, not where they have offices.
How do you get hired by a top H-1B sponsor?
- Open the employer's profile and look for your job title in its recent filings.
- Prefer employers with a high new-employment share if you need a new H-1B, not a transfer.
- Check the median offered wage against your target, and the employer's green card status.
- Find open roles on our H-1B sponsorship job board and the company's careers page.
- Ask the recruiter early whether the role can be sponsored.
Mid-size employers with steady filings get far fewer applicants than the top 10. Search them in the H-1B sponsor database, or read how to use an H1B database to find a job.
Frequently asked questions
Which company sponsors the most H-1B visas?
Amazon. Its main US entity, Amazon.com Services LLC, filed the most certified H-1B Labor Condition Applications in FY2025 in our analysis of Department of Labor data, and Amazon also files under other entities such as Amazon Web Services.
Does a big H-1B sponsor guarantee sponsorship for every job?
No. A high filing count shows the employer uses the program a lot, not that every role is open to candidates who need sponsorship. Ask the recruiter early whether the specific role can be sponsored.
Are the companies suspended from PERM still sponsoring H-1B?
The October 8, 2026 action, as reported, suspends permanent labor certification (the PERM step of a green card) for eight employers. It is not reported as an H-1B ban. Ask any of these employers how they will handle green card sponsorship before you accept an offer.
What is the difference between an LCA and an H-1B approval?
An LCA is the wage filing an employer makes with the Department of Labor before filing an H-1B petition with USCIS. Employers often file more LCAs than petitions, so LCA counts show hiring intent, not approved visas.
Why does one company appear more than once?
DOL records the legal employer on each filing. Large companies file under several entities, so Amazon.com Services LLC and Amazon Web Services, Inc. are separate rows. The company totals table adds a brand's entities together.
Where can I see every H-1B sponsor, not just the top 100?
Search the full H-1B sponsor database, which lists every employer with certified H-1B LCAs, with job titles, cities and filing history.
