Amazon, Google, Infosys, Meta, and TCS lead H1B sponsorship in 2026 — but volume alone is misleading. The most important metric for your lottery odds is wage level distribution (% L3/L4 filings), not raw petition count. This ranking covers the top 25 sponsors in depth, with LCA filing data, approval rates, average wages, and honest lottery odds assessments.

The most common mistake H1B applicants make is equating petition volume with desirability. Infosys and TCS file thousands of petitions — but their 5–8% L3/L4 filing rate means the vast majority of their registrations go into the lowest-priority lottery buckets. Under the wage-based registration system, you want a sponsor who files at Level III or Level IV.
The Lottery Math (FY2024 data):
The implication: if you can get a legitimate offer from Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta, or Nvidia, that offer is worth dramatically more in lottery terms than an equivalent offer from a large consulting firm — even though those consulting firms file more total petitions.
Highest L3/L4 rates (50–62%), best average wages ($195K–$240K), and near-perfect approval rates.
Strong L3/L4 rates (35–45%), excellent wages ($140K–$160K), and very high approval rates (94–96%).
Moderate L3/L4 rates (17–21%) — better than Indian IT shops but far below tech. Solid infrastructure.
Cap-exempt hospitals file year-round. Pharma companies offer strong STEM wages and good L3/L4 profiles.
