AI Visibility and SEO Manager

Primary Function of Position
The AI Visibility and SEO Manager is responsible for executing the day-to-day work that keeps Intuitive’s branded content discoverable, citable, and accurately represented across search engines and AI answer engines globally. This role implements structured data, schema markup and content formatting standards that make digital content easy for both traditional search crawlers and generative AI systems to parse, cite, and surface. The AI Visibility and SEO Manager leads translating the global standards for AI and search visibility into hands-on execution across global digital properties and markets. This role partners closely with web producers, social media specialists, and content marketing teams to ensure new and existing digital content is structured correctly from the start, monitors how the company’s content is appearing in AI-generated answers and traditional search results, and flags gaps and opportunities before they effect brand and marketing visibility. This role requires deep technical expertise, the ability to influence content strategy, crawlability, branded search prompts, and excellent communication skills to engage with business partners at all levels of the company and globally.

Essential Job Duties

• Audit web content and content strategy for AI discoverability, including heading structure, formatting, and content extractability by large language models (LLMs) and answer engines.
   
• Implement structured data and schema markup (e.g. Product, FAQs, HowTo, Organization schemas) across web properties to improve parsing by search engines and AI answer engines.
• Monitor brand and product visibility across AI answers engines (e.g. AI Overviews, Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) and traditional search, reporting on presence, accuracy, and share of voice.
   
• Execute the global content and schema standards across market and properties.
   
• Partner with Web Producers, brand content, and marketing message teams to adapt content formatting per market and language for optimal AI and search parsing.
   
• Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexability, and site performance as they affect AI and search visibility.
   
• Test and validate structured data and markup changes before deployment, running QA to confirm technical accuracy.
   
• Monitor emerging AEO search behaviors and platforms, updating marketing tactics and content playbooks as the landscape evolves.
   
• Provide recommendations to content product marketing, and creative teams on structuring new content for AI and search visibility.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of experience in SEO, technical SEO, content strategy, and/or related digital marketing, brand or web role.
   
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to marketing and creative stakeholders.
   
• Experience working across multiple international markets and languages.
   
• Hands-on experience implementing structured data and schema markup (JSON-LD, schema.org).
   
• Familiarity with AI answer engines and frontier models (Claude, CoPilot, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.), generative search behaviors, and how content is surfaced within them.
   
• Working knowledge of international and technical SEO fundamentals, including canonicals, crawlability, indexability, site architecture, and Core Web Vitals.
   
• Experience with SEO and visibility tools (e.g. Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, Conductor, and/or emerging AI-visibility monitoring tools).
   
• Basic HTML/CSS proficiency and comfort making structured-data edits within a CMS.
  Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate visibility data into actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams to implement in marketing and creative processes.
   
• Famility enterprise CMS platforms and analytics platforms.

Required Education and Training
 

• 7+ years of SEO and AI Visibility experience in a role combining marketing technology, or digital web content strategy and production, ideally supporting global marketing, demand gen, and growth marketing teams in a regulated environment.
   
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
