Summary
The Records Assembly Specialist is accountable to the Aircraft (A/C) Records Manager (ACM) and is responsible for reviewing, compiling, entering, and maintaining accurate aircraft engine, APU and landing gear records. On a daily basis, validates the accuracy of certificates, technical records and back-to-birth trace documentation for engine, APU, and landing gear. Maintain accurate and complete compliance information for engine, APU, and landing gear airworthiness directives. Maintain and audit all repair and overhaul records for engines, APU, and landing gear in accordance with company and federal regulatory requirements. Capable to, and accomplishes all other records functions as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Education Details: Associate’s Degree or higher or equivalent work experience preferred.
Years of Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of experience as an Allegiant Records Technician, and/or experience at another part 91, 121, 135 operator, 145 repair station working on 91/121/135 aircraft, or DOD transport aircraft records department. A combination of listed experience is acceptable.
  • Proficient in understanding, interpreting and revising, industry or similar industry Operations Procedure/General Maintenance Manuals.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation regulations (FARs) related to Aircraft Recordkeeping and retention requirements and Air Transportation Association (ATA) Coding.
  • Familiar with certification documentation for new, overhauled and repaired components from suppliers and maintenance providers in multiple countries.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, project and management skills.
Preferred Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree or higher or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in all aircraft records functions accomplished by the A/C Records Tech (Admin).
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical documents such as the aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalog, Engineering Documents, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and previous operator versions of these documents.
  • Proficient in all records functions of AIS or similar aircraft tracking software, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Products.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic recordkeeping systems.
  • Exhibits attention to detail and is a champion for accuracy.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple duties and priorities on a daily basis, ability to function effectively under deadlines while still maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with people at all levels.
Job Duties
  • Performs comprehensive baseline reviews of engine, APU and landing gear records for repair, purchase, and/or lease.
  • Coordinates with Materials, Engineering, AIS, QC, and Configuration Control to ensure repaired or purchased assemblies are acceptable and for accomplishment of required tasks/modifications.
  • Monitors and updates Allegiant Information System (AIS) regarding assemblies to assure required maintenance is accomplished within required time limits (including Airworthiness Directives), life-limited parts are properly tracking, and required maintenance accomplished has been accounted for and is tracking properly for next due date.
  • Completes data entry, audits of entries and scans originals each day for components that are a part of assemblies to ensure availability of real-time to all maintenance records and to other system users.
  • Performs complete engine, APU, and landing gear review, analysis and assembly of previous operator (induction), new, used purchase or repaired components ensuring work scope requirements are complete, dirty-finger prints documents are audited and all supporting documentation has been received.
  • Creates binders for the assemblies, inventories, sorts and files original paperwork.
  • Enters data to assemble engine, APU, and landing gear and their associated components, life-limits and maintenance due dates in AIS (or other database).
  • Prepares documentation using historical documents for vendor repair.
  • Issues to the appropriate party, reviews and approves paperwork discrepancy notices when errors are discovered upon paperwork review.
  • Monitors the return of outstanding discrepancies and scans/files corrected items upon return.
  • Coordinates with Planning and other maintenance groups to complete read and record maintenance to ensure records and aircraft parts match as required.
  • Provides support to Component Repairs, Engineering, and Materials teams as required, including in programs such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • When inducting aircraft into Allegiant fleet, ensures the accuracy and completeness of documentation and assembly AIS entries.
  • Processes assembly removals and installations.
  • Researches records and coordinates with OEMs, repair facilities and previous owner/operators in obtaining back-to-birth trace for assembly components.
  • Provides data packages for historical records, LLP tracking and AD Compliance reports to internal and external customers as required.
  • Builds and retains all original (dirty fingerprint) historical records (electronic form) for assemblies in accordance with company policy and FAA regulations including scanning, labeling (for search function) indexing and associating/linking electronic records to AIS or other electronic maintenance accomplishment system.
  • Retrieves records and certificates and prepares documentation for serviceable as removed assemblies from retirement aircraft and/or for shipment to third parties who purchase or lease parts.
  • Maintains binders, files, sorts (Paper) scans, indexes, labels (for search function) and stores assembly records.
  • Performs and trains others on all aircraft records functions including assemblies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Office – While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
