Summary
The Manager of Operations Regulatory Compliance reports to the Director of Regulatory Compliance-Ops and will provide oversight of FAA communications and corporate compliance programs. The position will coordinate responses for LOIs, will submit VDRPs, will remain apprised of regulatory changes, and will communicate information to regulatory entities. The position acts as designee for the Agent for Service and acts as the principal liaison for FAA CMO communications.

Minimum Requirements
A combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business Management, Law, or related field
Years of Experience:
  • Minimum three (3) years in 14 CFR 121 Regulatory Compliance.
  • Minimum five (5) years of aviation experience.
  • Possess strong working knowledge of regulations and information governing 14 CFR 121 air carrier operations. This includes, but is not limited to, FAA Advisory Circulars, INFOs SAFOs, 8900.1, SAS, and applicable sections of the CFRs.
  • A thorough understanding of the Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Act of 1996 and related NTSB, FAA, and DOT directives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with and present to all stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously while adapting to the changing needs of the business while meeting d deadlines.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Ability to travel, approximately 10%.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Requirements
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate, Dispatch Certificate, or Flight Attendant Certificate.
  • Prior airline management experience.
  • A holistic understanding of airline operations across all operational and administrative workgroups.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Experience coordinating cross-company projects.
  • Prior development and implementation of company training programs.
Job Duties
  • Track all regulatory correspondence and ensure timely responses.
  • Advocate for regulatory requirement changes on behalf of Allegiant Air.
  • Responsible for amending and maintaining parts A, B, and C of the Operations Specifications.
  • Responsible for responding to any government agency request or inquiry on behalf of Operations teams.
  • Coach, mentor, advise and support Operations Department employees with regulatory compliance issues.
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with the conditions and restrictions of the Air Operator Certificate (AOC), in compliance with regulations and Allegiant Air standards.
  • Provide direction to ensure Operations teams achieve Allegiant Air goals and objectives associated with regulatory compliance, operational safety, security, reliability, efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Design, implement and maintain a self-audit function to determine the level of compliance and safety in the flying operation and to use the information gained to correct faults and refine best practices.
  • Participate in safety meetings and continuing education programs, maintaining close liaison with the FAA, DoD, NTSB, and industry organizations and associations.
  • Subject matter expert on the Voluntary Disclosure Reporting Program, FAA Web OPSS, and SharePoint.
  • Principal liaison for FAA CMO communications to track manual submissions, written correspondence, and due dates of any requests to and from the company.
  • Continuously analyze current workflows and processes and implement process improvement plans.
  • Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer standards to their daily responsibilities, as appropriate.
  • Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Office – While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
