3M is seeking Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician candidates to join our team in Columbia, MO!

Shift: Full Time (12-Hour Night Rotating Shifts; 7:30pm- 7:30am)
Starting Pay: $30.43/hour + Shift Differentials

The person hired for the position of Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for supporting all customers of Columbia Plant Engineering and reports directly to first-level Plant Engineering Supervisor.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Observe all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Perform work as directed by a Maintenance supervisor (or designee) and outlined by Shop Work Orders (SWOs).
Complete all assigned preventative maintenance tasks and correct any/all documentation errors.
Perform all electrical/electronic and mechanical calibrations with minimal assistance.
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate all electrical/electronic systems with minimal assistance.
Perform installations of air, water, and electrical with minimal guidance.
Assist with all aspects of new equipment installations.
Manage all hazardous wastes in compliance with RCRA requirements. This includes labeling all hazardous material and ensuring proper materials are in each drum/container.
Demonstrate minimum capabilities within the first 90 days.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

An associate degree in a mechanical, electrical, or electronic field OR five years of recent experience in at least two of these fields
Ability to work a 12-hour night rotating shift with every other weekend off (approximately 7:30pm – 7:30am; 1st week – work 4 days, 2nd week – work 3 days, etc.)
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Must meet the criteria for the Maintenance Selection Test Battery (Exam will be administered during the interview selection process)
Exhibit a willingness to pursue necessary education and training to keep current with the technological requirements of the assignment.

The starting rate of pay for this position is $30.43/hour, with the potential to reach $35.29/hour. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
