The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Lead Analyst, Security Governance & Artificial Intelligence (AI), you will hold a pivotal role (1) establishing AI governance frameworks, including policies, standards and best practices, to ensure ethical and responsible use of AI that enables and supports business goals; and (2) Providing expertise on a variety of non-AI Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) activities, advising on a range of cyber risk management activities and information security industry best practices.

You will partner across the enterprise with Legal, Privacy, Compliance and key business units to create governance structures that mitigate risks across the AI landscape, bringing to the table a unique blend of technical background, understanding of security controls, and data governance experience. Your expertise in global organizations will help the team navigate through the evolving international AI landscape.

You’ll stay close to AI trends, regulatory changes, compliance and governance needs, and bring new ideas into the mix. You’ve worked with governance teams and understand the foundations and importance of a strong data security posture, and are always tracking activities back to the big picture – protecting and enabling the business. Within the AI umbrella, you’ll lead/partner in risk assessments designed to identify potential ethical, legal, and reputational risks associated with AI applications.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution 4 years of experience in Information Technology and Information Security
OR
High School Diploma/GED or higher from a (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Information Technology and Information Security

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industry, preferably in a global organization
CISSP strongly preferred, or equivalent experience across a broad spectrum of Information Security disciplines
CRISC or equivalent experience in Security Risk Management
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Security from an accredited institution
Experience in AI strategy, Data Governance, and/or a related role in technology, data science, or AI. An understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, or data analytics with a focus on technical and ethical considerations.
5+ years experience in Security Governance, Risk & Compliance with corresponding increase in skills and responsibilities.
Understanding of, and ability to articulate, how information security supports and enables the business.
Familiarity with potential AI related regulations (NIST AI RMF, NIST 800-53, HITRUST, Fed/StateRAMP, GDPR) and their implications for AI development and use.
You understand the foundations and importance of a strong data security posture.
Experience with Third Party Security Risk, and the expertise to competently apply TPSR practices with vendors who use or provide AI services.
Proven record of effectively leading successful initiatives.
Ability to develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for AI enablement and governance aligned with business goals. You have strong communications skills able to convey complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
You thrive in complex situations because you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to asses risks, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions
You possess an ability to drive change and influence stakeholders to adopt AI-driven governance practices

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $183,301 – $224,034, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
