Driver Skills Test Examiner (Driver License Agent I)Open Recruitment(CLASS C LICENSE REQUIRED AND MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF HIRE) This is an interview and hire position All candidates will be invited to interview based on the date the application is received. The Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) is seeking a dynamic agent with focus on delivering premier customer service. The Driver Skills Test Examiner is the entry level of work issuing drivers’ licenses and photo identification cards and administering driver’s license examinations for the Motor Vehicle Administration. Duties is of limited complexity but requires tact and discretion in judging the ability of an applicant to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with specific instructions.Employees in this classification are required to work over six service delivery days, Monday through Saturday. Employees are scheduled to work to cover MVA service delivery hours that may include evenings.Responsibilities included: Testing applicants on their knowledge of State laws governing the operation of a motor vehicle using standard written or automated testing procedures.Conducting standard driver’s license tests as scheduled at various license issuing offices within a region to determine the fitness of applicants for driver’s licenses.Administering vision screening and knowledge tests in accordance with standard procedures utilizing appropriate testing devices.Recording all pertinent information via standard forms and automated systems.Deciding whether an individual has qualified on the examination.Working majority of the time outdoors in all types of weather conditions Ideal candidates possess: Passion for delivering excellent customer serviceAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentProblem solving abilityExcellent communication skills Interview invites will be prioritized based upon the needs of the Administration. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: One (1) year of customer service work experience.Customer service must be the primary function of your position in order to receive work experience credit.Customer Service – Interacting with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services in conjunction with the handling and resolving of complaints.Consideration for employment may be based solely on the contents of your application; therefore, it is essential that you provide complete and accurate information.
