Job Title: Brokerage Import Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Brokerage Import Coordinator to support one of our key customer’s import operations. This position will be based on site at the customer’s location.
Key Responsibilities :
- Effectively support data gathering efforts required for projects.
- Achieve a basic level of knowledge on principals of HTS classification by participating in a DHL Basic Classification Training curriculum conducted by DHL’s Import Compliance team.
- Respond to and resolve issues pertaining to customs entry submissions
- Manage updates to the customer’s parts catalog and ensure those updates are also updated within our systems
- Analyze and action exception report to identify missing/incomplete information
- Provide key customer with instruction on data element requirements for imports in order to ensure timely and compliant entry processing.
- Provide support and guidance for other US classification issues and projects as they arise including support for the key customer classification provider
- Support the key customer’s U.S. Import Compliance/Free Trade Agreements and other Duty Reduction programs
- Support the US Assist entry reporting process
- Participate and contribute ideas and information on import compliance team conference calls.
Skills / Requirements :
- Previous experience in Customs Brokerage/Import preferred
- Ability to interpret data and translate into actionable recommendations to improve processes/KPIs
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent computer skills, especially in MS products including Excel, Powerpoint & Word
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
