Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Biological Sciences at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) invites applications for a 9-month, Visiting Lecturer of Anatomy and Physiology beginning 7 August 2023.

Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses totaling a 15 credit hour instructional load, including primary courses on Human Anatomy and Physiology (BIO 307 and 308), requisite courses in the Biomedical Sciences/Pre-PA major/concentration, and several programs in the College of Health Science. Additional responsibilities may include instruction in introductory Biology majors’ courses.

The successful candidate must hold a minimum of a MS degree in Biology or related field with teaching experience in Human Anatomy and Physiology and Introductory Biology courses. Degree(s) must be from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accredited and recognized institution. They are expected to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with undergraduate students and the university community.
