TECHNICAL SKILLS
Visual Basic 6, and be able to re-engineer an existing Visual Basic 6 system into C# . Demonstrate the skills necessary to design & develop high-quality applications using the SDLC development models.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently work on all SDLC phases

Analyze business systems requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements

Develop and support new software applications
-
Design, document, test, and implement application features and enhancements
-
Contribute to software development process standards
-
Assist in development of automated of test scripts, project builds and installation programs for the applications
-
Participate in code reviews and unit testing
EDUCATIONAL and/or EXPERIENCE:
-
Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering

Minimum three years of experience in programming
-
Experience working in an environment doing custom program development against a SQLServer database required.

Experience working within a systems development lifecycle methodology is essential

Knowledge and experience of all aspects of the software development process

Understanding of Visual Basic 6, and be able to re-engineer an existing Visual Basic 6 system into C#

Experience programming in C#

Experience and expertise with relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL)

Understanding of Visual C and Visual C++
-
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks

Strong communication and technical skills

Experience must be with distributed, multi-tier systems

Significant experience with analysis, requirements definition, data modeling, programming supervision and project management skills required.
