“Head of Security – Information & Operational Technology

Location: Memphis, TN | Relocation Assistance Available | Sponsorship Offered

We’re seeking a forward-thinking Head of Security to lead the development and execution of our enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy. This role is responsible for safeguarding our digital assets, intellectual property, and operational technology (OT) infrastructure, with a focus on both proactive risk management and incident response.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in both IT and OT security, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to align security strategies with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive information and operational technology security strategy

Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization

Advise executive leadership, including the CIO, on cybersecurity risks, compliance, and program performance

Ensure compliance with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)

Oversee security of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and OT environments used in manufacturing

Manage physical access security through camera systems, badge access, and digital access controls

Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security threats

Lead all aspects of incident response including investigation, containment, remediation, and reporting

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions following security incidents

Assess and manage the security posture of third-party vendors and partners

Negotiate and enforce cybersecurity requirements in contracts and SLAs

Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to meet evolving regulatory requirements

Design and implement company-wide security awareness and training programs

Stay current on emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory developments

Provide regular reports on cybersecurity posture, risks, and initiatives to executive leadership and the board

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field

(Master’s degree and/or certifications such as CISSP, CISM preferred)

10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role

Proven experience in securing OT and ICS environments within manufacturing settings

Deep understanding of security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001)

Expertise in risk management, incident response, and vulnerability mitigation

Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
