Job Title: Senior Manager, Dangerous Goods Compliance
Job Location: U.S. Remote
We have an exciting opportunity for a SENIOR MANAGER OF Dangerous Goods Compliance – USA to develop regulatory compliance plans, programs, and strategies for DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) corporate and field offices. This key role will report directly to the U.S. Head of Export Compliance and Dangerous Goods Compliance.

Key Responsibilities
 :
  • Provide program ownership and strategic direction/leadership to the Dangerous Goods Training Approach.
  • Ensure the Dangerous Goods Compliance program remains current in documentation, processes, tools, and communication across the United States.
  • Partners with Compliance Governance function to further develop key Dangerous goods Compliance Metrics
  • Modernizes and leads automation projects to bring best tools to the front line for processing Dangerous Goods Shipments.
  • Partners with sector sales teams to show value of Dangerous Goods Capabilities for DGF US.
  • Researches government regulations and new or pending regulations that could affect DGF’s business practices
  • Participates in industry groups for Dangerous Goods Compliance.
  • Responding to compliance questions from stations and customers
Skills / Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline or work equivalent of 10 years minimum
  • Demonstrated project leadership
  • Demonstrated automation deployment experience
  • Critical thinking, creativity, and innovation in developing new concepts, theories, and products to address the most complex and strategic issues facing DGF
  • Strong ability to negotiate the highest level and/or riskiest technical or business issues on behalf of the company
  • Ability to build strong influential partnerships across the organization
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Strong project and time management skills, including ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to enforce required steps against rejections with strong leadership skills
