Job Description
The Residency & Fellowship program is open to Doctors of Pharmacy who hold a record of educational and professional achievement, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have an interest in pursuing a career in academia, as a pharmacotherapy specialist, or in the pharmaceutical industry.
All eligible applicants shall possess a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited school/college of pharmacy and, for certain positions should have completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency, by the start date of the residency or fellowship term.
Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States throughout the duration of the Residency or Fellowship. No visa sponsorship will be provided. Those selected for residency positions must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of New York and must possess said license to practice within 90 days of beginning the residency program.
The UNIVERSITY, through its College of Pharmacy and the Fellowship Director, shall be responsible for the academic evaluation, supervision, and control of Residents and Fellows. The UNIVERSITY and their partners shall together be responsible for coordinating, directing and facilitating the Resident or Fellow’s training experience, training schedule, and evaluating the Resident of Fellow’s performance during the Fellowship. The Director of Post Graduate Training, or designees at the UNIVERSITY shall oversee the Resident or Fellows’ general distribution, assignments and responsibilities.
