The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The IT Head of HIS (Health information systems) is a top management professional responsible for overseeing the IT needs and applications for HIS. The IT Head of HIS plays a critical role in driving technology initiatives, fostering innovation, and ensuring seamless IT operations for that Segment. They are also responsible for working across all of IT to ensure that they represent business needs to the broader IT leadership while also looking for ways to leverage shared IT services from Enterprise applications as a first options.
This individual will be a member of the Solventum IT and digital leadership team and will be expected to be an enterprise leader working across functions and always playing to win for Solventum as a member of one IT organization.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with company goals. Identify opportunities for technological advancements to enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage. Resource Management: Overseeing the IT budget, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring optimal use of technology. Technical Oversight:
Identifying the Business, enhancing existing systems, leveraging shared systems (e.g. HR, Data, Finance), and resolving technical issues for employees.
Identify opportunities for technological advancements and partnerships to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate closely with senior management, department heads, and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and align technology solutions accordingly.
Communicate technology strategy, initiatives, and achievements effectively to the executive team and the broader organization.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of technology professionals.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the technology
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 12 years of experience in a senior technology leadership role in a private, public, government or military environment
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
Five (5) years’ experience in leading IT teams and delivering technology solutions in a regulated industry, preferably healthcare.
Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities with a track record of driving technological innovation and transformation.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Five (5) years of medical device or health care experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Strong business acumen and the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives and market opportunities.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the healthcare industry.
Experience leading cross-functional global teams to identify organizational and workflow challenges; and lead change and improvement outcomes aligned with the vision, strategy, and priorities

Remote USA
Travel: May include up to 20% (domestic/international)

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $259,007 – $316,564, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
