Full Job Description
Performs subsurface soil sampling, rock classification, and testing. Performs basic to moderately complex geophysical testing, geologic/seismic evaluations, fault rupture hazard and slope stability investigations, and/or geotechnical instrumentation.
Reviews draft assessments and calculations for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all assessments.
Contributes to firm’s TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.. Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
Attends conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm’s products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.
Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Reviews the work of more junior staff.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science or related discipline.
3 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Skills and Abilities
Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
Solid knowledge of scientific methods and processes.
Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
