Job Summary
This is a project only hire position expected to last until late 2024. Candidate may be offered a full-time opportunity at the completion that may require distant travel/relocation. Position comes with competitive benefits and vacation time.
This is a local hire position for a Solar Project in Jasper and Stark county Indiana. There is no relocation or per diem for this position. Candidate preferably has basic Administrative, Human Resources and Payroll experience for at least one year.
Processes all new hire paperwork. Processes all personnel transactions after hire. Processes unemployment claims and serve as liaison for information between Company and unemployment outsource agency. Administers sick leave, disability and vacation programs. Administers Service Award Program. Responds to employee, administrative staff, and management inquiries for above processes. Typically handles more routine questions and issues.

Key Responsibilities
- Processes new hire paperwork by creating electronic files in the human resource information system (HRIS).
- Processes personnel transactions (manually and electronic), including transfers, promotions, pay rate changes, leaves of absence, field allowances, terminations, personal changes, and status changes .
- Updates HRIS for changes to employee personal records, including address, marital status, education, registration, and emergency information data.
- Processes unemployment claims and reviews termination reports.
- Provides customer service by responding to questions regarding policies from managers, administrative staff and employees along with verbal verifications from outside sources.
- Administers Service Award Program.
- Processes and tracks leaves of absence including family medical leave.
- Maintains and monitors sick and vacation leave information.
- Receives calls into the HR Information Center, forwards on to Specialists to answer more involved, detailed questions, and serves as a specialist within assigned transaction specialty areas.
- Provides support to other HR functional areas, including Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Service Center as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining strict confidentiality.
- May be responsible for tracking budget information.
Preferred Qualifications
Industrial experience, 1+ years’ experience preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
