As part of our Body Construction Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles the world expects from us. Within our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. That means we’re continually seeking diligent, determined performers who think outside the box to help us find better and more efficient ways to manufacture our vehicles.
The DVA Modeling Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, mathematics.
- 3 or more years of dimensional control experience
Preferred Qualifications :

- Production experience in the manufacture or assembly of vehicle systems (body, trim, and chassis)
- Experience developing and analyzing GD&T
- Expertise in developing and analyzing locating strategies for body, trim, and chassis systems
- Experience performing tolerance analysis simulations using VisVSA (or similar software)
- Background performing finite element analysis (FEA) simulations using Hypermesh and NASTRAN
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Leverage advanced, innovative modeling programs and techniques to optimize our overall manufacturing processes. This involves leading the development of tolerance analysis and vehicle program support work plans as well as:
- Lead tolerance analysis modeling and reporting
- Develop full functional variation models the simulate the impact of part and process variation
- Provide geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) support
- Support appearance and functional dimensional issue resolution
- Support related dimensional control elements (locators, checking fixtures, etc.) as needed
- Provide design and process feedback based on model analysis
- Lead program deliverables for DVA team per the manufacturing QOS
- Lead program management of DVA deliverables
- Coordinate modeling activities as required in other regions
- Coordinate actives with team in India – GDME (Global Digital Manufacturing Engineering)
