*Position: Construction Inspector – BART Control Center Project*
*Location: Oakland, CA*
Dabri, Inc. is seeking a qualified *Construction Inspector* to support the *Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)* Control Center Project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a transformative infrastructure initiative while working alongside a dedicated team of managers, engineers, and inspectors.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
The Inspector’s responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Maintain detailed *daily inspection reports*, documenting construction activities, workforce, equipment, materials, and any issues or deviations observed on site;
* *Review approved contract documents*, including submittals, specifications, and drawings, to verify that materials and installations conform to contract requirements.
* Conduct *field inspections* to ensure correct installation of systems, devices, and equipment as indicated in the contract drawings and specifications.
* Take and catalog *photographic documentation* of work progress and any site issues or non-compliant work.
* Monitor and review the contractor’s *Quality Control (QC)* and *Quality Assurance (QA)* documentation for completeness and accuracy.
* Coordinate with the *Resident Engineer* to identify and address unforeseen field conditions or discrepancies.
* Verify that *installed equipment and materials* match those approved and specified, and ensure adherence to applicable building codes and BART standards.
* Assist in the development of and adherence to a detailed *inspection schedule*, coordinating with BART Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) stakeholders to ensure proper oversight.
* Identify and document any *non-compliant work* or deficiencies, and prepare *punch lists* for resolution prior to project closeout.
* Support project closeout activities, including final inspections, testing verification, and documentation turnover
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* Minimum *5 years of experience* as a construction inspector or contractor performing inspections on infrastructure, transit, or facility projects.
* Experience inspecting *electrical, mechanical, or systems installations* in a rail or control center environment is highly desirable.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and submittals.
* Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
* Familiarity with public agency project requirements and procedures is a plus
