To be considered you’ll need

Successfully passed NCLEX Exam
A registered nurse (RN) License in the US or Canada.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
One or more years’ nursing experience in any of the following can apply – Intensive Care Unit or PACU or Day Surgery or Cardiac Rehab or Medical Surgical

Position Type: ICU/PACU/Day Surgery/Cardiac Rehab Registered Nurse
Schedule: Days and Night shifts available, full time hours – 36 hours a week, rotating weekends.
Shifts: 12 hour shift options available.
Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
Compensation
Base Pay Range: USD $29.62 – $38.62 / hr based on work experience (AU$ 42 – AU$ 56 per hour)

Responsibilities Include:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of the patients on his/her assigned unit during a given period of time.

The RN is also responsible for the delegation and supervision of personnel assigned to him/her.
The RN has the responsibility and accountability for prescribing, delegating and coordinating all nursing care provided in Intensive Care Unit/PACU/Day Surgery/Cardiac Rehab.
The RN prescribes nursing care for patients based on the nursing process.
The RN coordinates both the nursing care provided to patients and the nursing care provided in conjunction with therapies directed by other disciplines.

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
Current license to practice profession in the State of Texas (Flint will assist with this).
Ability to read, write and speak English (Flint will help with this).

Participates in quality/safety programs and adjusts personal practice to achieve quality/safety metrics
Attends 85% of mandatory meetings (forums and identified in-services)
Interacts positively with internal and external customers to provide information and addresses requests, problems or concerns
Demonstrates compliance with established infection control/universal precautions policies and procedures
Demonstrates patient safety by utilizing two patient identifiers for every patient/every time
Reports care concerns or recognitions using appropriate channels including the incident report system
Assesses and provides patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care.
Administers medications/treatments/blood and blood components in a safe manner and assesses/reassesses blood the effect of these as established by policies and procedures.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patients served. Able to interpret data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s age specific needs and provide care needed by the patient group.
Utilizes critical thinking in decision making in complex patient care situations by demonstrating knowledge in EKG interpretation, rhythm recognition, and hemodynamic monitoring.
Provides safe and competent care of patients on mechanical ventilators, patients receiving vasoactive drugs, and thrombolytics.
Provides competent pre/post anesthesia care based on sound knowledge of protocols.
Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required, and adjusts nursing process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. Adheres to standards in policies and procedures for assigned department.

Pay: $42.00 – $56.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
