Job Title: Brokerage Import Coordinator
Job Location: Moline, IL
We have an exciting opportunity for a Brokerage Import Coordinator to support one of our key customer’s import operations. This position will be based on site at the customer’s location.
Key Responsibilities :
Effectively support data gathering efforts required for projects.
Achieve a basic level of knowledge on principals of HTS classification by participating in a DHL Basic Classification Training curriculum conducted by DHL’s Import Compliance team.
Respond to and resolve issues pertaining to customs entry submissions
Manage updates to the customer’s parts catalog and ensure those updates are also updated within our systems
Analyze and action exception report to identify missing/incomplete information
Provide key customer with instruction on data element requirements for imports in order to ensure timely and compliant entry processing.
Provide support and guidance for other US classification issues and projects as they arise including support for the key customer classification provider
Support the key customer’s U.S. Import Compliance/Free Trade Agreements and other Duty Reduction programs
Support the US Assist entry reporting process
Participate and contribute ideas and information on import compliance team conference calls.
Skills / Requirements :
Previous experience in Customs Brokerage/Import preferred
Ability to interpret data and translate into actionable recommendations to improve processes/KPIs
Strong customer service skills
Excellent computer skills, especially in MS products including Excel, Powerpoint & Word
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
