What You’ll Do

Oracle’s Product Management Cloud team is building a new Healthcare Product Catalog as a managed service. This catalog federates data from multiple manufacturers, distributors, data pools and governance agencies. It will digest, standardize, match, de-duplicate and store the product records. It will offer very hi-speed, low latency REST APIs to search for the products in this catalog. The catalog will support high volume bulk ingest and extract. The catalog will operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our healthcare customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best-in-class services which will help reduce the overall healthcare spend.

  • Provide integration experience with healthcare product data sources used in data curation
  • Work closely with our product management and data visualization teams to develop a plan to lead and display data in our software
  • Design data quality search algorithms to create a clean, curated data set for our healthcare customers

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for an architect with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in the cloud infrastructural level. You would dig deep into the existing systems, unearth step-level improvements and issues, innovate from within and transform and create new architectures. You would be responsible to provide technical guidance and mentorship across the host lifecycle and collaborate with key stakeholders across Fusion SaaS, OCI and RDBMS organizations.

With your outstanding technical, research and analytical capabilities and demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively to dig deep, innovate within well-established systems and define new architectures alike, you’ll partner with the existing leaders in the organization to take these critical services to the next level of scale. Making these deep architectural changes calls for an outstanding builder, mentor, and technical leader with an established industry track record of success in leading large cloud scale projects. We also look for:

  • Deep technical understanding of master data management in healthcare as well as the data sources that can be leveraged
  • A strong technical skillset allowing creation of 3rd party integrations as well as programmatic rules to standardize and curate the data obtained

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in the team.
  • Lead by example, influence, and empowerment. Foster a growth mindset and a culture of teamwork, high expectations, ownership, and technical excellence within the team.
  • Ensure that everything we do is kept at a high operational bar, with specific focus on availability and resiliency.
  • Design and build customer-facing cloud services that are scalable, reliable, and performant.
  • Regular communication with executives, including technology reviews, and develop senior-level customer & partner relationships as required.
  • Foster and maintain strong/positive relationships across other groups and teams within Oracle.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional communication skills, technically fearless and a strong product sense with the ability to seek and absorb business context, lead, and develop engineering culture, and exhibit good judgement exercised through developed critical thinking.
  • Knowledge or experience in building Virtual Item Master and Healthcare Product Catalog applications on top of cloud infrastructures, host-level design, and the software and services that support these.
  • Experience in ongoing data extraction from third party data sources to support a singular product catalog in the healthcare industry
  • Previous responsibility for building Data Quality solutions and algorithms to product data quality. Experience in designing and building data cleansing models for product data standardization, de-duplication and auto classification and categorization
  • 12+ years’ experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Java (or C/C++), and REST / GraphQL. Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Strong knowledge of OCI Services
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML algorithms and Graph Databases
  • Should have worked on Healthcare Catalogs such as GHX, Prodigo, Symmetric, SC Worx, Vizient etc.

Education

BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to computer science or engineering. 12 or more years of software engineering or related experience preferred.
