Job Summary:
This full-time, 12 month faculty on-campus position would carry responsibility teaching pre-licensure nursing students in the traditional weekday and the evening/weekend pathway. This faculty member will teach pre-licensure students in the classroom and clinical settings. The position responsibilities include use of technology in the classroom, and provision of supervision and direction for students in a broad range of clinical settings that align with the faculty members expertise including pediatrics, maternal child, med-surg, mental health, critical care, and community health. This faculty member may also teach in other programs in the School of Nursing as assigned. Leadership opportunities will be available within these faculty lines.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.
Position Qualifications:
Earned Masters of Science in Nursing degree from a nationally accredited nursing program and a regionally accredited institution.
Minimum of three years of nursing practice experience.
Current unrestricted Florida license as an RN or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with students, colleagues, the healthcare community, and other stakeholders.
Strong computer skills using web-based applications and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a nursing faculty member in an academic setting.
Experience teaching pre-licensure baccalaureate students in the classroom and clinical setting.
The ability to incorporate evidence-based teaching strategies for higher education into course delivery.
Familiarity with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education.
Experience with simulation in nursing education.
