Inside the Role
The Director is responsible for establishing and managing the IT Project Management Office (PMO), IT contracts framework, IT budgets, and IT policies, processes, and governance. This role also oversees information technology project management activities, vendor contracts (hardware and software), service level agreements (SLAs), and performance reviews.

The Director’s key responsibilities include developing and managing the IT PMO to ensure alignment with the organization’s objectives. They will oversee the IT contracts framework, including vendor hardware and software contracts, and manage IT budgets. In addition, the Director will develop, enforce, and continuously improve IT policies, processes, and governance standards, ensuring adherence and measuring performance and effectiveness.

This role involves leading and providing oversight for multiple complex projects, including custom solutions and vendor selections, adhering to technology standards and the full project management lifecycle. The Director will collaborate with the executive leadership team to lead project, contract, and IT policy performance reviews, providing accurate reporting through contract and portfolio dashboards.

Bringing a strategic perspective to business activities, the Director will help the executive team maintain a clear portfolio of initiatives aligned with ACT objectives. They will also align with business leaders and IT peers across the organization to understand current and future opportunities, supporting the business vision and roadmap.

Location: This role will start remote and then will be working out of Marshall, MS, with expectation to be on-Site once building construction and timing is established (relocation package available).

What You will Spark at Amplify:

The role is responsible for establishing and managing IT PMO, IT Contracts & SLA’s (working with procurement), IT budgets and IT policies, processes, procedures & governance.
Provides strong leadership to the IT Project Management team and ensures a high level of customer service.
Provides oversight to all IT projects and ensures proper application of project management methodologies (Agile, Hybrid, etc.).
Builds relationships and collaborates with key business leaders to establish strategic plans and a roadmap that is in line with a progressive business culture.
Provides project management, vendor management and technology leadership across the IT project portfolio and business units.
Monitors the progress of all IT projects, proper project reviews at established project toll gates and implement corrective actions as needed.
Monitors the progress of all vendor contracts (HW & SW), proper vendor performance and contract reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
Working with IT leaders, finance, and Business leaders to establish IT Project & Operations budget, review budget performance with stakeholders and implement corrective actions as needed.
Establish IT processes & procedures and enforce IT processes & procedures, measure performance and effectiveness and drive continuous improvements.
Provide input to overall IT capacity and skills planning to meet business or technology projects.
Support Internal & external IT Audits.
Responsible for the hiring, building, and maintaining a professional team, setting stretch performance goals and monitoring effectiveness throughout the year.
Establishes a robust set of key performance indicators and tracking reports that provide a clear view of the performance of the team and drive improvements in customer service and successful project/contract delivery.
Creates and maintains proper documentation for all projects/Contracts and establishes policies, processes, procedures and standards as necessary.
Remains abreast of developments and best practices in the project management & IT management discipline and builds relationships with external providers and industry experts to bring the most current thinking to the Organization.
Ensures the team provides effective leadership on project/contract/processes, high level professionalism and successful completion of IT projects and management of vendor contracts and SLA’s.
Collaborate with peers and contribute to the overall IT strategic planning process aligned to company goals and objectives, including fostering innovation, planning projects, along with organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.

Qualifications:

BS/BA in Computer Science or Information Technology, or related work experience. Masters degree preferred
Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience, with increasing responsibilities along the career path.
IT project management: 8 years (Required)
Management: 8 years (Required)
ITIL framework: 5 years (preferred)
Experience leading complex IT programs and managing IT PMO for manufacturing industry.
Experience managing Programs/ projects for Business systems (SAP, etc.), Manufacturing systems (MES, etc.) and IT infrastructure projects.
Experience with project, contract & process management tools (This role will be responsible for implementing the appropriate tools.).
Strong knowledge of project, contract & process management domains.
Familiarity with the ITIL framework, SDLC and PMP methodologies is highly advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to interact professionally and in business language with all levels of business leaders and subject matter experts.
PMP and/or ITIL certifications preferred.
