Salary
$65,000 – $75,000

Overview

This client is a prominent designer and manufacturer of high-quality flow control valves, condensate removal traps, related components, and accessories. Serving a diverse range of markets, they pride themselves on innovation and the ability to provide customized solutions as well as a robust line of standard products. They are a privately owned company with a seasoned management team focused on organic sales growth and new revenue growth through acquisitions.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for assisting and leading in the design, development, and maintenance of our assembly and manufacturing equipment and tools. This position will help transition aluminum, steel, and brass machined components and assembled parts from prototyping to high-volume production.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with other functional groups and product engineering to ensure successful problem-solving and project completion.
Develop strategies to resolve manufacturing problems.
Promote a spirit of continual improvement in all areas.
Foster a positive, innovative culture and workplace.
Create and support Routers.
Identify required machining centers, machine tooling/fixtures.
Provide part production cost estimates/quotes.
Specify tooling required to machine parts.
Design, build, and maintain assembly and test machines.
Support capital investment decisions/projects.
Develop best practices for lean manufacturing and cost reduction initiatives.
Assist Product Engineering in DFM, DFA, FMEA.

Qualifications:

BS in Manufacturing Engineering, BS in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years of relevant experience in a Manufacturing Engineer (or similar) capacity.
SolidWorks CAD, CAD/CAM, and CNC experience preferred.
Demonstrated success in working with multiple functional groups and project management experience.
Experience machining components manufactured from aluminum, brass, and steel.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, DFM, DFA, FMEA, and quality systems.
Solid knowledge of machine design for assembly machines and test equipment.
Ability to support efforts for continuous improvements in process efficiency and cost reduction.
Possess a hands-on style with strong mechanical aptitude.
