The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a(n) Quality Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Responsible for Quality Assurance (QA) support of marketed products where you will work and interact significantly with other cross functional team members (lab, plant, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, etc.). Support activities include product change management, internal/external audits, cost reduction projects, and compliance activities.
Quality leader for customer complaints and investigations, risk management, test method validation and crossover studies, quality improvements, and compliance activities. Developing and analyzing shelf-life stability studies to set and validate our product claims.
Representative for Pilot Plant Quality to other division teams for validation activities and Quality Management System (QMS) compliance of the Pilot Plant. Assuring compliance to internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and external regulations.
Responsible for coordination of Pilot Plant non-conforming product process.
Leading Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Risk Management, Issue Reviews, Material Review Boards, and change control.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND two (2) years combined product, quality, engineering, and/or laboratory/technical experience in private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Statistics, Chemistry, Microbiology from an accredited institution
Minimum of four (4) years of combined experience working in a Product, Quality, Engineering, Microbiology and/or Laboratory environment
Previous experience working in an FDA regulated device, combination, or drug environment
Strong demonstrated leadership ability and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and lead teams, drive change, and get things done
Previous experience leading QA efforts for marketed products and new product introduction teams
Previous manufacturing plant experience
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve
Statistical knowledge and practice Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R) studies, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Capability, Sampling Plans, Design of Experiments (DOE), Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Regression, and Lean Manufacturing
Test method development and validation experience
Minitab and Microsoft Office proficient
Work location: Hybrid – Maplewood, MN
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 – $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
