Intermediate CADD Drafter

Position will support our Electrical & UL508A Panel Shop team in our Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Prepares routine to moderately complex level engineering and construction fabrication drawings which include: general arrangement drawing, overall layouts and conceptual drawings, rough sketches, general engineering and design information and verbal input. Performs related fundamental CADD/technical support tasks such as plotting drawings, prepare ing fabrication shop drawing submittal/transmittals, preparing overnight packages, file management and/or filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations, proofreading reports, coordinating shop drawings with field and shop manager, be able to understand PDR/EDR and/or design specifications with design drawings, etc. Performs basic discipline design tasks as directed to supplement and enhance progressive CADD assignments. Performs related CADD/technical support tasks which are not completely standardized or prescribed. Utilizes information from vendor prints, catalogs, technical manuals, etc. in the preparation of construction drawings as outlined above. Supports field assignments as required. Performs other duties as required.

High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and/or 3D drafting. 3 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

– – Experience with Autodesk Electrical CADD software

• Experience with ePlan Pro Panel software
• Experience in an UL508A panel shop environment
• Experience with Control Panel fabrication shop drawing
• Experience with Electrical equipment detail layout drawings

Good communication skills and attention to detail required. Ability to be a team player. Possesses working knowledge of core CADD applications (such as AutoCAD (Electrical), Revit and/or MicroStation). Experience using basic Microsoft Office for design related tasks primarily within the CADD environment. Experience using ePlan Platform.
