MARYLAND TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION BUS OPERATOR (8400) (CDL/PERMIT LICENSE REQUIRED) **Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply** (APPLICATIONS CAN ONLY BE SUBMITTED ONLINE) This is an extended duration posting for current and future openings for this position. Applications will be continuously assessed. The Maryland Department of Transportation’s Maryland Transit Administration is seeking courteous, customer-service-focused full-time Bus Operators. Qualifying candidates must be at least 21 years and possess the ability to satisfactorily complete the bus operator candidate assessments, background checks, and medical examination including the federally mandated Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. The most desirable candidates are those who currently possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Bus and Air Brakes endorsements. A copy of the CDL license will be verified prior to taking the assessments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 21 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED). Must have two (2) years of continuous employment (with the same employer) or a combined two(2) years of verifiable full or part-time student status and employment history.A minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience is preferred.
