AVP Third Party Automation Strategy, Vendor Management/ Remote – Immediate start available

This position is a senior individual contributor role to formulate and drive the strategy for automated engagements with third party suppliers. The candidate is expected to provide strategic leadership for the company’s roadmap for implementing commercial and operational APIs with third parties, automating internal workflows in support of the APIs, and providing business analysis and commercial direction to the development teams.
SOME OF YOUR TASKS WILL INCLUDE:
1. Develop an overall strategic plan for vendor-facing life cycle orchestration automation for the company’s managed services business and automated on-demand business.
2. Determine the company’s API standards and requirements when connecting with third party suppliers.
3. Work within the Scaled Agile Framework environment to collaborate with the business stakeholders and development teams to implement service ordering APIs.
4. Provide vendor-specific commercial expertise and direction to the development teams for individual API integration and implementation.
5. Drive API implementation initiatives with both the vendor and the internal stakeholders to meet the objective timelines.
6. Support the Vendor Management team head in driving the Business Value Stream to enhance the customer self-service Console Connect platform with automated integration of third parties.
7. Serve as the primary point-of-contact between the vendor, the internal stakeholders and the development team.
8. Develop a strategic roll-out plan by region, by vendor.
9. Create and maintain a transparent dashboard available to all stakeholders of the implementation status of various automation initiatives.
10. Develop metrics to track and measure the progress of the initiatives.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- 10-12 years business experience, in the telecommunications or software industry.
- 3 years of experience with scoping and/or implementing automation tools, automated workflows and APIs;
- A plus if you have a knowledge of the MEF Forum standards.
- Ability to think “out-of-the-box”
- Ability to drive change
- Ability to independently manage a wide spectrum of activities, tasks and projects.
- Ability to effectively manage project schedules and changing terms and conditions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- University degree or equivalent work experience
- Some travel may be required
